A TRIBUTE TO BRÂNCU?I

0

Located at 60 rue de Verneuil, in the heart of Paris’ antiques quarter, Galerie Negropontes is a new kind of gallery. It is run by lifelong friends Sophie Negropontes and Hervé Langlais, whose ambition it is to revive the tradition of French Decorative Arts.
Galerie Negropontes presents “Tribute to Brâncu?i” a new collection of furniture and glass sculptures by designer Hervé Langlais and glass artists Perrin & Perrin.

They have made use of all the creative principles characterizing Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncu?i: simple forms or shapes, unusual assembling methods and duplication of volumes.

As a backdrop to this exhibition are the photos of Brancusi’s iconic sculptures taken by Dan Grigorescu-Negropontes, Sophie Negropontes’ father. They complete a fundamental display, bringing the decorative arts towards a new artistic dimension.

The collection will be showcased at the gallery from April onwards.
